Utah Temple Tour Part II

On Saturday, 4 September, Heather, Michelle, and I went to the Ogden Temple and did an endowment session as part of our temple tour. It's too bad only three of us could make it, but we had a really great time. We got there without a whole lot of time before they led us off to start the session. One of the cool things about the Ogden temple was that there was an organ being played in the waiting room. They have an organ in the chapel at the Logan Temple but people don't usually wait in there prior to a regular session. 

This temple has a very different layout from the Logan but was pretty nonetheless. I don't think it's possible to say that a temple is ugly....The celestial room was gorgeous and bigger than the Logan temple. The session only had about 20 people in it, so it was relatively small. I guess that's to be expected for a Saturday afternoon on a holiday weekend? All that aside, it was just great to be able to be at the temple with dear friends and feel of the spirit that is found therein. It was so peaceful to just sit in the celestial room and it made me want to never leave. 
Following the session, we took our pictures and then Heather took us to an Italian restaurant that her family really likes called La Ferrovia. It's a legitimate Italian restaurant run by immigrants from Naples. The food was delicious! And then, to top off the night we went to Farr Ice Cream (where the ice cream is Farr Better) and got some yummy ice cream. 
It was a fabulous afternoon and evening and it made me realize just how fortunate I am to have such great friends who are striving to live the gospel in the way that they should in order to be worthy to go to the temple. 
Our next stop on the tour is the Bountiful temple. A date has yet to be set but we'll take care of that soon, I'm sure, so stay tuned!
